Who is Anuschka?

Anuschka is Roma’s creation. She loved the name Anuschka, but she had already named her three children Bhaskar, Radhika and Priyanka. When she decided to share her love for art through handbags, her newest child became Anuschka, meaning “like no other.”

What is Anna by Anuschka?

We created Anna by Anuschka almost 10 years ago as an affordable luxury collection. The Anna by Anuschka Collection is painted by our younger, up-and-coming artisans while our master artisans paint Anuschka. With Anna, we are focused on bringing you a wider variety of shapes and artworks while still offering the best quality leather products at a great value.

How is Anuschka different from any other hand painted accessories in the market?

Anuschka is the only family owned, designed, and ethically produced hand-painted brand. We offer original artwork and unrivaled quality at an incredible value. We are the premier, original hand painted brand of hand-painted accessories available at select boutiques and shoe stores across 20 countries. Like every trend setting brand, we have our imitators, but we can assure you that our product speaks for itself as it has for more than 30 years. Each Anuschka is hand-cut and crafted from fine leather, then individually painted, not by professional artists, but by young men and women who have been trained by us and enjoy the benefits of our fair-trade policies. High grade leather, signature lining, branded hardware, original art, years of experience, and excellent quality distinguish us from the counterfeits. Where and how are the Anuschka handbags made?

Anuschka bags are designed in USA by Bhaskar Basu. Bhaskar was taught by his mother, Roma, who continues to guide him today. They are then made in the family owned and operated workshop in India. Every Anuschka leather product starts with hand cutting the top grain leather and selecting the best pieces. Anuschka-trained artisans sketch and individually hand-paint every piece. Traditional crafters who have learned the trade from generations before them use old school techniques to create tailor made pieces. Every handbag goes through multiple stages of inspection by our quality team to ensure that the art is perfect. A family member does a final review of every bag before it is hand signed and packed. What type of leather is used to create an Anuschka product?

Anuschka handbags and wallets are made of soft top-grain nappa leather which is specially treated to work like a canvas for unique Anuschka art. Click here to learn more.

How can I make sure I am purchasing a Genuine Anuschka product?

*When shopping online, buy directly from or one of our authorized retailers.

*You can contact us to confirm if a store is an authorized Anuschka reseller.   

*Look for the white leather tag stitched to the lining of the bag with the Anuschka or Anna logo. 

*The lining will have the Anuschka/Anna logo woven into it. 

*Each original Anuschka is hand-signed. Anna bags are signed Anna. 


What countries does Anuschka ship to?

Anuschka currently ships to almost every country around the globe. However, certain countries can only shop using the region specific webstores.

Can I change or cancel my order?

How do I apply a discount code to my order?

A discount code may be applied to your order by entering the code in the Discount code field located under your shopping bag after clicking checkout.

Can multiple discount codes be used on one order?

Discount codes may not be combined or used with any other promotions, codes, or coupons.

What will it cost to ship my Anuschka order?

Orders with a subtotal of $200 or more are eligible for Free standard shipping across Canada.
Orders with a subtotal between $125-$199 pay just $7.99 for standard shipping across Canada.
No promo code is necessary, just choose Standard shipping at checkout.
Orders under $125 will pay actual shipping rate.

How do I check the status of my order?

You may check the status of your order by logging into your customer account or by following the View My Order link from your confirmation email.

How will I know when my order has shipped?

You will receive a shipment notification email including a tracking number when your order has shipped. If you are having trouble tracking your order, please email us at for details.

When can I expect my order to ship?

Most orders will be processed and shipped within 1 to 3 business days of when the order was placed. Please note we do not ship on holidays or weekends.

When can I expect my order to arrive?

Your order's arrival date depends upon the shipping method and delivery location. Our warehouse is located in Quebec and standard shipping times vary.

How do I return a purchase from

We want you to be happy with your Anuschka purchase. If within 30 days of purchase, you wish to return your unused products, please email us at or call us at 905.266.0625 to obtain a return authorization.

Can I exchange my purchase?

We do not offer exchanges. If you want to exchange your item, you may simply return your unused product within your return period for a refund and place a new order.

Will Covid 19 have any effect of my order processing or shipping?

Our team continues to work hard under the current safety measures to provide you with the best possible shopping experience. We occasionally experience short delays in processing, and shipping times may be longer than normal due to extra safety measures. We sincerely appreciate your patience and continued support.


How do I create an account?

It makes ordering safe, fast, and easy, it also allows you to track you order and receive updates on the newest styles and promotions.

How do I reset my password?

Select the forgot your password link on the sign in page under the My Account icon. Enter the email address for your account and hit submit. Check your email for a reset my password link. If you have not received an email, please be sure to check your junk or spam folders.


How do I care for my Anuschka leather products?

We highly recommend that you protect your Anuschka products from stains and extreme moisture to safeguard its hand-painted finish. Due to the hand-painted surface of the leather, you should avoid rubbing the leather against rough or sharp surfaces to minimize scratching. If you get your leather product wet, wipe the liquid immediately and pat to dry with a soft cloth, then allow it to dry naturally. We only recommend using the Anuschka Leather Protector to preserve the colors, and suppleness of the leather. Use of other leather care products could damage the painted surface. Our leather products are treated after creation for durability and protection. However, please be aware that it is natural for leather to transform slightly in color when exposed to the elements.

Why should I use the Anuschka Leather Protector?

Our leather protector is a proprietary formula created to protect the surface of your hand-painted leather handbags or wallets. It can also we used to protect your other fine leathers, such as footwear or jackets. Please note that other leather care products are not designed for hand-painted surfaces and could cause serious damage to your painted Anuschka product.

How do I remove stains from my Anuschka leather products?

Given the delicate nature of the painting, we do not recommend using any chemicals to treat stains on the painted surface. You can lightly pat with a soft damp cloth, never rub the hand-painted surface.

How do I care for my non-leather Anuschka products?

Rainboots: To clean we recommend you hand wash the exterior of your boots with mild soap and water and let them dry naturally in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight. Our beautiful classic rainboots are just what you need for those wet days outdoors, but please do not store or dry them in direct sunlight. Over exposure to sunlight can cause the boots to become dry and brittle, as well as cause discoloration.
Umbrellas: Simply shake off excess water and let dry naturally. Do not store in direct sunlight.
Eye Masks: Hand wash gently in cold water only using a drop of mild soup, do not wring, and lay flat to dry.
Face Masks: Wash in warm water and hang to dry.
Scarfs: Hand wash in cool water with mild soap and hang to dry.


What is the Anuschka warranty policy?

As a company we continue to take a lot of pride in our quality standards and workmanship, as we have for over 30 years. We stand behind the durability of our leather goods and offer a guarantee against any defects in craftsmanship for a full year of normal use for items purchased at regular price from an authorized reseller. Can I get my Anuschka refurbished?

Unfortunately, we do not offer these services. We are only able to offer repair services for items with manufacturer’s defects under the warranty period.

How well does the painted area hold up?

Anuschka handbags age gracefully like good wine, they become vintage works of wearable art. Leather is a natural material that takes on unique characteristics and qualities depending on the hide. Your leather products may show slight defects, creases, shading, or color irregularities that are considered natural qualities of the leather and normal for a hand-painted items. They will also soften in time and become even more beautiful with age.


What payments methods are accepted at checkout?

In Canada, we currently accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, & Discover, as well as Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Amazon Pay and Sezzle.

What is Sezzle?

Sezzle is a payment solution that allows you to Buy Now, a Pay Later, with no interest.

How do I use Sezzle?

Just select Sezzle as your form of payment at checkout on orders of $100 or more and follow the step-by-step instructions to set up your account. Sezzle will then review purchase for approval. For more details see Sezzle FAQ.

Is Sezzle available to customers outside of Canada?

Sezzle is only available to Anuschka customers in Canada.

What if I have questions about billing schedule or I am unable to make a payment?

How do returns work with Sezzle?

Return your items the same as you would with any other form of payment.

How do I redeem my e-Gift Card?

Add one or more items to your shopping cart.
After you select checkout, you will be asked to enter the e-Gift Card Code. 
Enter the code you received in your email to redeem the gift amount you received.
Pay for any remaining balance on your order with another payment method.

Can I earn rewards for my purchases?

How do I participate in Anuschka Rewards Program? 

In order to join the program, just click “Create a store account” on the Rewards tab. Once you have done this, you can start earning points with every purchase.

How can I earn points?

You can earn points by completing actions listed in Rewards tab. Just click on REWARDS tab on the left, click on "Learn More" and then select "Earn Points" to review the different ways to earn points. Note: If you are already a Rewards Program member, you can simply go to the Rewards tab and click on "Earn Points" to review the available actions.

How can I spend my points?

It’s very simple and straightforward. Just click on Rewards tab and you will see the list of all discounts you can redeem your points for. So, you can greatly boost your savings.

Can I combine coupons and points?

You may not combine your rewards points with any other promotion or coupon.

When will my points expire?

All points are valid for 365 days from the day they were credited to you.


How does the Referral Program work?

When you refer a friend, and they make purchase you will be awarded points. At the same time the friend will be getting a discount on their order. The discount offered and points being awarded are subject to change without notice.

You need to be logged in to your account to share the link. The link is generated automatically for you and is shown on the Referral page:  or in the Rewards tab. You can share the referral link to social media using social icons or just paste wherever is needed, for example in the email.  You need to be logged in to your account to share the link.

How the receiver applies the discount to their order?

Once they create the account, the code will be shown in the pop up window, on the referral tab as well as in the reward account.

Will I get email after the friend placed an order?

Yes, Emails are sent to customers when their friend purchase with shared link stating that you are being awarded points for your friends actions.
